With its industrial park installed in the Midwest of Minas Gerais, Valinho has a strategic location both in relation to the suppliers of its main raw materials (iron ore and charcoal) and in relation to the outflow routes of its production. 
Close to the great iron ore deposits of the Iron Quadrangle and the eucalyptus forests, the Midwest region of Minas Gerais is also served by the largest railroad network in the country, which facilitates the flow and agility in the delivery of pig iron to customers in the domestic market, located in Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, and Paraná.
To supply the external market, the company uses the infrastructure of the Vitória-Minas railway line, of the Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD), by which it transports pig iron to the main ports of the state of Espírito Santo: Paul and Tubarão. It also uses the Minas-Rio railway line, run by MRS Logística, to ship its product via the Port of Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
